| From the Pastor I would like
to personally thank you for visiting us at our Wintergarden Presbyterian Church Website. I
am delighted you chose to investigate this wonderful church online and invite you to come
Worship with us this coming Sunday!
Allow me tell you a small portion of who we are;
Wintergarden is a connectional church, a part of the Presbyterian Church USA, which
consists of 2.2 million members. Presbyterians trace their history to the 16th
Centurys Protestant Reformation and adhere to a pattern of religious thought known
as Reformed Theology. We are governed by a form of government that stresses active,
representational leadership of both ministers and church members. We recently celebrated
the 300th Anniversary of the Presbyterian family of churches in the United States.
Wintergarden Presbyterian Church is a product of what is
called New Church Development and is part of Peace River Presbytery. This
congregation was established and chartered in 1991, Called its first full-time Pastor in
1996, built the Worship Center in 1997 and was mortgage free by 2002. The people of
Wintergarden are committed to the work of the Lord and are hardworking and generous.
Wintergarden is a small church, currently with about 80 members, but our ranks swell in
the Winter months with visitors and future members like you.
Wintergarden is a part of the Confessing Church
Movement within the Presbyterian Church (USA) which means that our congregation is
firmly committed to three basic Christian beliefs:
^ That Jesus Christ alone is Lord of all and the only Way
of Salvation.
^ That the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments
[the Bible] are Gods truly
and fully revealed Word to humanity.
^ That Gods people are called to holiness in all
aspects of life.
Please know that I, as Pastor, and the Elders and Members
of Wintergarden Presbyterian Church, are here to serve your needs, whether in times of
happiness or sorrow. Please do not hesitate to call upon me with questions, concerns, a
time of prayer or just conversation.
Thank you again for visiting us in Cyberspace. I
look forward to seeing you in person and welcoming you into our Fellowship. Blessings to
you in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Peace be with you always.
